ICYMI, this year Amazon is giving Prime members an awesome fall sale day! There are some awesome Prime Early Access sale travel gear deals that I’m excited to see and I wanted to share them with you before they sell out. Don’t miss these top picks – of course be sure to buy that you need, don’t just pick up dust collectors because they’re on sale.
Best Prime Early Access travel gear deals of 2022
Portable power bank with a built-in plug – I grabbed one of these right away for our big theme park trip this weekend! They offer an iPhone version and a USB-C version for other phones.
Universal plug adapter with USB – For those of you heading out of North America, this plug adapter is super handy! It works in Europe, UK, Australia and more while offering spots to plug in one standard item plus four USB devices. You can even use it as a mini USB power strip at home.

Amazon Fire tablets – I’m only not buying these because we have a full set. We own this exact model and it’s great, especially if you don’t want to spend a ton of money on a tablet that’s only used for travel. We like this version because it has an HD screen, extra RAM for smooth performance and extra storage for lots of movies. We also have one of these and it’s really really really nice.

Amazon Essentials packable puffer jackets – These are perfect for warm weather dwellers going on a winter trip. They’re very affordable and our kids’ held up great for almost 3 years including a very cold trip to NYC with kids. Layer a long sleeve shirt and fleece underneath to keep warm outside, but when you head into an over-heated building they stuff into their little included bags. They have mens, womens, boys and girls (including kid sizes down through toddlers).

Digital/Instant camera combo – This is much better than the Instax we used to have! There’s storage so you can keep the digital version of your favorite photo, it prints directly on sticker paper to keep in a scrapbook or travel journal and this version connects to your phone app via bluetooth for to help you compose shots as well as transfer photos.
Portable jumpstart battery – This one goes out to the road trippers! I have a different brand of this product, but they’re all basically the same: a jumbo-sized external battery pack with a set of jumper cables you can attach in case your car battery dies. This is one of those products that I wish I’d known about a full decade ago and would have gotten me out of so many binds. I picked one up during the Prime Day sale over the summer and having it in the trunk gives me great peace of mind when we’re out on adventures. (You can also connect a USB cable and use it to power your devices, but I prefer to keep it for emergencies)
Wicking t-shirts – I have a set of these and I’m buying another today! They look great, travel well and air dry quickly. I wear them on their own in warm weather and as undershirts in cold weather.
Keen Newport – Confession: I have a love/hate relationship with these wear-everywhere sandals/water shoes for my kids. I love that they can serve as the sole footwear for trips involving lots of different activities. I hate that they need machine washing once per week to avoid funky smells. But they’re incredibly functional and today’s deep discount takes away the sting of buying them.

Hard-sided luggage set – We are full on luggage right now, but I know so many people who have been thrilled with this set! It comes with 20″, 24″ and 28″ pieces in tons of colors so it’ll meet a whole family’s needs.

Shoe bags – We only have one shoe bag, so I’m thinking about picking up this set! It’s a great reusable way to segregate the dirty and smelly from the rest of your stuff while also keeping your packing job tidy. (It’s the little things, right?)
“Big kid” activity books – While my kids have definitely outgrown the coloring book stage, these activity books have brain teasers and puzzles for kids up through age 12 to give them a break from screen time. This deal is for a 4-pack, so you can easily split them and give them to multiple kids as small holiday gifts or a mid-flight surprise.
